City & Guilds Curriculum

Indian head massage is an ancient art handed down through generations in India, as an integral part of family life. Its roots lie in the medical system of Ayurveda, which aims to promote health, beauty and long life. Depending on the techniques used, it can relax or invigorate. This course will teach you how to select the most suitable medium for your client to improve scalp or hair condition, and how to adapt your treatment according to your client. I love to teach! To impart my skills and knowledge into creating well-rounded, professional therapists gives me a buzz. I believe that when we learn as adults we bring a wealth of life-skills to the learning journey and I use this experience and build on it. My style of teaching is to make students think…. And find their own answer. I facilitate - guiding students to come to their own conclusions to empower their learning. My lessons are fun and very interactive. Students are encouraged to contribute their own thoughts and ideas as, in that way, we can learn from each other. When learning a new skill, there are guidelines but I encourage and positively applaud students having a personal take on a skill, finding their own way of doing something that will make them stand out. I believe at the end of their journey with me students will be able to go out into the world as well-rounded, skilled, professional therapists and establish a well-being business.

Really pleased with the content in this unit, neatly laid out with instructions for requirements and for working before and after Zoom lessons. I used this platform on my laptop and desktop and it was easy to pick up where I'd left off as they synced with each other as it's all online. This resource was invaluable to my learning as it includes A&P, videos and narrative with good diagrams. You're able to revisit any sections to refresh your memory and retake any of the quizzes to assist learning. I have used this platform for a previous course and would do so again, I think that speaks for itself that I would highly recommend Therapy Learning Resources.
